Planner Comments Integration to Teams Chat
Currently, Planner Comments work by sending emails in the back end. That's fine, but since we're moving away from emailing and towards Teams, let's integrate that backend using a Teams chat instead. The email integration has merit, but it's wonky, many people don't understand how it works and remove the group email when responding, and it doesn't always seem to work.It would be much more natural to use a Teams chat for comments than email.

Primary vs Secondary Assignees
There should be a way to mark someone on the planner card as the primary assignee and others as secondary assignees or contributors.

Task Labels or more Statuses
Add the ability to set Labels on Tasks in the new Tasks (To Do+Planner) app in Teams as we can against tasks in Planner.
Labels would allow users to define different statuses of tasks (ie. Waiting, Raise in Next Meeting etc.), different groups or various other classifications to keep their personal tasks more organised.
Alternatively if the To Do tasks which now sit in the Tasks/Planner app were changed to work as the Planner tasks do then this would provide a more consistent feel when managing tasks and allow me to view my own tasks in buckets with labels etc.…

As a manager/owner I wish I could see the overall tasks a member has for all plans and teams.
I wish there was an overall view of how many tasks each member has throughout all the different teams and plans. This way I can see if an employee needs more to do. It is difficult to get a sense on workload with how broken up our plans are.

allow an entire bucket to be assigned to a person in the planner, instead of having to assign each task.
we use buckets for individuals in the planner, we would like to be able to assign a entire bucket worth of task to 1 or more people , instead of having to assign each task , to minimize the number of emails and notifications 1 person would get, instead of 54 emails he could recieve 1 email notifying him that he has tasks to complete.

When two or more channels in Teams share a plan, add the name of the channel to each task in board view.
In the "Board" view in Tasks by Planner and To Do, users can use the buckets to create custom Kanban boards. However, if more than one channel share the plan, the only way to distinguish which tasks belong to each channel is to manually enter the channel name in the title of the task. If the name of the channel could be programmed to appear with the task in "Board" view, it will increase the utility of using Planner in Teams because teams that have multiple channels could work from a single custom Kanban board.
My proposal is similar to…

Share Planner/Tasks across multiple Teams
When using MS Teams, there are times you have a team using planner/tasks and the completion of said items as well as progress would be helpful to share to other teams -- Example: Regional Team, State Level Team and a Core Task Team have separate teams and channels... the Task Team creates a plan that impacts the State and Regional level teams, to share the plan and progress across all teams would be beneficial

Notification for comments
When somebody comments on a task, the task should have an indicator that shows new content. Same for any changes that are made. The general "pop-up" that indicates changes have been made on 3 tasks does not help anything when you have more than 3 tasks in your planner.

Ability to Export all Planner tasks from a channel (or TEAM) to excel
Purpose - staff can export 1 file & send to managers for reports and updates on projects etc
Currently we are using TEAM's and keeping a separate spreadsheet that has all the same information, however the spreadsheet can be viewed on the whole.
If we could simply export an entire channels tasks to show progress for each area of the company that would be ideal! - Having the ability to export using TEAMS app and not just Planner online would be very handy also.
These MS systems are great, but if we cannot produce large reports while using them it…13 votes -
