  1. @mention Post From Flow Does Not Work

When using Flow to post a message to a Team channel, the @mention does not trigger a notification. The text of the message is simply the "@mention" that was typed. Please enable a text recognition of @mention to enable the notification as though it were being typed directly in Teams.

  2. Important Message Notification

Currently, there does not seem to be any notification on any platform when a message in a Team/Channel is marked Important. Please put an option to be notified for important messages, even if you aren't actually mentioned in the post.

  3. Out of office pop up showing up constantly for all users

    Hi,

We at work are in a group chat and when someone is out of office, the little grey bar ontop of the chat box keeps showing up with the info that the person is out of office and may not respond.

You can close it but every time you re-open the chat tab it pops back up.

This happens for all users in chat (about 20 participants).

    Can we disable this?

    Thanks

  4. Microsoft Teams download banner / popup needs to be removed

When a user in the Office 365 environment wants to use the web version http://teams.microsoft.com, a popup message is visible at the upper area with a prompt to install the client version:
“Want an even faster, more collaborative experience? Download the desktop app.” By several given security compliance requirements in big IT environments, the users shouldn’t be able to install any additional software at their PCs. This popup is confusing the web-only Teams user and also it makes the software deployment team nervous.

  5. Tag Teammates in Planner Cards & Push Notifications

It would be really helpful to add more ways to notify teammates on through planner:
-Tag teammates in Planner Card comments
-Push notifications for mobile when mentioned in such tags.

  6. Blink on taskbar even when Banner notifications disabled

Currently, with the Banner notifications enabled, a banner shows up in the notification area when you get a message. After that banner disappears, the taskbar icon for the Microsoft Teams application will begin to flash, until you look at your messages.

If you disable the banner notifications, the taskbar icon does not flash when you get a message.

This works as intended only when the Banner notifications are enabled. These are extremely annoying, and I would guess that most users would want them disabled.

The taskbar should still blink every time a chat message is received when Banner notifications are…

  8. Allow Webhooks Extensions to @mention individuals and channels

The JSON payload used for formatting MS Teams notifications via a Webhooks Extension should allow @mentions to be constructed.

Similar to how a bot can construct a mention in it's response via <at>@General</at>.

Without this functionality, there's no way for members of a channel to be notified by the Webhooks Extension without having to first follow the channel.

In most real world scenarios, following a channel will not suffice — leading to spam and distractions for the team.

For many, the absence of this capability is preventing the transition from Slack to Teams.

    Use Case 1:
    A dev team needs…

  9. Download Improvements

    Download Improvements

Generally the download experience with Teams is pretty poor and I'm amalgamating suggestions in to one

    - Configuration of download location other than default download folder
    - Download progress and fixing of hanging UI when downloading file
    - Permanent notification to user in chat/team room or even a downloaded management area showing downloaded files with a direct link to open file
    - Ability to open file directly from notification
    - Ability to open folder from all areas download is listed
    - Ability to download to a different one time location from the file hamburger menu

  10. Scheduled Do Not Disturb, like Slack

Do Not Disturb should block all notifications and I'd love to be able to schedule DND, like on Slack

  12. Blink Icon for unread messages

Teams icon pinned in taskbar doesn't blink orange anymore when I receive new messages. I cannot find an option to turn this. Was this removed?

  13. Sync notification badge count across platforms

The unread notifications count needs to be synced across platforms. For example, right now if I read my Teams messages on my Mac, my iOS app will still have a red badge on the app icon indicating I have unread messages. This leads to be constantly opening my iOS app thinking I have missed something, only to see it's messages from hours earlier that I already read on another device.

  14. Notifications within Teams

I'd like to see a notification bubble for new posts (of any type) in the Teams I'm in (yes, I'm already following) just as I can see for chats. It's an extra step for me to have to click through the teams to see if there's new activities. I'd like to be notified as soon as activities happen.

  15. Notifications

I would like a setting to turn notifications on or off based on a timer so that notifications only pop up during set work hours.

  17. "Secondary ringer & Notifications" on various Audio devices.

Call signals & also notifications should optionally be possible on all audio devices (Skype only allows an additional "Secondary ringer" when someone calls you but notifications only comes to your primary audio device. Would be nice to configure combinations of ringers & notifications on different audio devices that are available like for myself sitting on speakers and headset.

  18. notification reminders

Being able to set reminders for messages received, whether it be a group chat or private. As simple as hovering over the message and maybe clicking a drop down box (where other options such as edit, save, or delete message would be) then clicking "set reminder" and then just set a desired time.

  19. Use native MacOS Notification Manager

Instead of using a custom notification, please use native MacOS Notification manager. This will allow users to manage notifications consistently with most other MacOS apps.

  20. snooze notification

Allow a notification or multiple notifications to be snoozed x number of minutes. Sometimes it's not possible to reply to a message right away, so having the ability to snooze a notification for 10 minutes for example was a very useful feature of slack, so that I could snooze the notification and be reminded of it at a more opportune time. Giving a range of snooze times is also super handy for accomplishing this, as well as the ability to resnooze for subsequent periods. For example on slack you can snooze a notification for 20 mins, 1 hour, 2 hours,…
