Administrator 's ability to create a domain wide or tenant wide groups of contacts for example per department that is available to all Teams users like a company directory. Same as in other corporate messaging wherein any changes in the contact will be synced to all clients.746 votes

With the new admin portal you can only assign messaging policy to individual users. Why is this happening when the previous admin portal let us set different options to for example Faculty, Students etc? It's near impossible to manage per-user Teams settings for several thousand students who come and go. We need to be able to let group membership control these settings in Teams.547 votes

Currently an Admin cannot use the Admin app to centrally administer Groups, Planners and Teams. This creates a number of risks for an organisation: 1) unable to manage ownership; 2) unable to manage storage; 3) unable to manage information life cycles. Just to name a few. I talked to engineering and I think they don’t understand this request. The requests says “Admin App” — do you mean Admin Center? The O365 portal?
Also, what exactly do you envision for central administration — for example — what can you do now, can’t do, and would like to do with this new feature.

There seems to be some confusion around how this works. First off the ability to delete messages is off by default.
The IT Admin who setup the Teams environment will need to turn on the admin ability to delete messages. Once they have enabled the functionality, admins will be able to delete user messages.
If your IT Admin as enabled it and you still are having troubles please let me know in the comments below.
I want to limit my employees ability to communicate with each to conversation solely available within the teams they are added too. While I have disabled the "Chat" option, each persons email address is displayed when you click on there username in a conversation. Is there away to hide users emails so they are not visible?

Teams needs to have the capability to be managed like the rest of the O365 suite via Registry and/or GPO settings. Things like Startup at login, Start minimized to tray, suppressing the app launch splash screen, suppressing the 'install mobile app' banner, t-bot, app add-ins should all be manageable and in one place.167 votes
