  1. Limiting deletion of teams by the team owner

  2. More granular persmission for Teams for their team site

Currently team members can only be given "full control," "edit," or "Read" permissions on their respective team sites. We need a bit more granularity and be able to assign also "Contribute" and other permission levels on each team site.

  3. Improve third party file integration: make it off by default; make the settings available at both the tenant and team level & easier to find

The comments at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-Teams-Blog/Microsoft-Teams-adds-third-party-file-integration/ba-p/80880 are all going nuts about:

    1) The fact that the integration was pushed live by default, opening up the door to shadow IT without active consent.

    2) The setting should be controllable both that the tenant level (to allow or shut down access globally), and at the team level (so if it is allowed at the tenant level, team owners would have the the option to allow or disallow it for their specific team).

    3) People struggle to find the settings that control this buried in the 365 admin center. I first looked in the Teams…

  4. Configure delegation with PowerShell

delegates can register with Teams clients and the Teams Admin Center.
However, you cannot register with PowerShell.
    Registered users cannot be confirmed.

I want to implement a function in PowerShell.

    ・ Registration of delegation
・ Ability to check users registered by delegation

  5. I would like to obtain the Calls and Meetings data via PowerShell

It would be great if we could obtain the report data such as Channel messages, Chat messages, Calls and Meetings via PowerShell. Though we can see the data from Microsoft 365 admin center > Reports > Usage > Microsoft Teams user activity.

  6. Live meeting recording security

As part of the "Live Events", the meeting is recorded automatically. When you go to the meeting after it has taken place, you are able to download/view. This will open your browser to the URL of the meeting.

Here's the security problem. I can take the URL and send it you. You can view the meeting. Even if you were not invited to the live meeting, you can give the URL to your friend. They can view the meeting. There is absolutely no security tied to that video.

Also, the videos are not being stored on the same servers as…

  7. Set Expiration Policy Based on Inactivity

We would like an expiration policy based on inactivity, where if a team is inactive after a certain amount of time, it is auto-deleted.

  8. Entierprise Deployment .MSI That Installs Into C:\Program Files

Build an MSI that will install the Teams application into "C:\Program Files". Then any user that logs onto the computer can go to Start > Search for Teams > Launch Teams > Sign in to their account > Then Teams Builds the appropriate App Data folder for them.

This would be great for Enterprise Deployment. Some Enterprise project groups consist of 15-20+ people, and having an enterprise deployment solution would help speed up Microsoft Teams adoption.

  9. Request for showing a contact list in Microsoft Teams

We would like to enable to view contacts as a list in Microsoft Teams.
If we need to view a user in the search result, information such as address or display name are required. But we would like to see the contacts without searching with those information.
We would request for Teams to show a contact list resembles the format like the Global Address List in Exchange Online.

  10. order of conversation

It would be great if you could change the default order of conversations, so that instead of it being ordered by most recent activity on the thread, it was ordered by the most recent posting of conversations. The reordering of conversations as people participate on the threads is jarring, and you can always find recent activity through the Activity tab.

  11. Moderate Channels and limit private chat options

I konw that there is a possibility to disable chat feature to students, but it would be great to have the hability have private chats onlyu with teachers.
Another great feature would be give teachers the hability to moderate channels conversations, for example post a comment only after teacher has revised it. Also this feature will be great if it is limited to certain channels.

  12. Ability to have individual permissions on Channels - particularly when a team has an External user in it

It would be great if you could restrict an 'external user (guest)' in a team from seeing certain channels or tabs? For example, you have a Team created for a specific project and you have external guests included. You don't want them to see a channel called Internal documents and so you could remove them from this channel only. That would mean the don't even see it. This is definitely a major requirement from us with Teams.

  13. Allow Guest access to custom domains on Tenant level

Guest access should be restricted for customized domains on Tenant level in Microsoft Teams. Right now it is allowing the user to send request to all the domains with guest access. My companies are involved in their compliance and require to allow Guest access to limited domains only.

  15. Teams user activity log files should record file downloads

We are trying to roll out Teams at my company, and out Info Security team has found an issue that is stopped that roll out. They found that in the O365 user activity logs for Teams, the "Activity" field does not differentiate between users just accessing files stored in Teams (for example to view them) and when they actually download those files onto their local computers. This is consistent between both the web and client version of Teams.

This is different from how these kinds of events are logged when users interact with files stored in a regular SharePoint doc…

  16. Add remove access from users for a channel

Hi, When we create a team for a department, e.g. IT, we add all user within the team. but there should be able to create a channel and exclude specific users from that channel as they might not be the audience for that.

  17. applocker

Deploying this to the user's profile make administration of the application for AppLocker problematic. Especially if it is self-updating. Any file hash or certificate rules would be subject to change without notice.

  18. Teams Specific Profile Picture

As a user of Teams, I would like the ability to change the picture I have in Teams without affecting the rest of my Office 365 account. I believe this will help give Teams a more creative (rather than corporate) feel, and potentially increase the rate of adoption. I know in my organization, we have been using Skype, and no one has set their Office 365 picture as their Skype picture.

  19. Powershell modules should be in the Powershell Gallery

Powershell modules should be available in the Powershell Gallery for installation with Install-Module and other management with PSGet. Rather than installed to a custom folder path, requiring an import statement like this...

    Import-Module "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Skype for Business Online\Modules\SkypeOnlineConnector\SkypeOnlineConnector.psd1"
