  1. Office 365 Groups and Team Membership

It is possible to get into an orphaned Team state where there are no "Owners" within Teams, but adding a member to O365 group does not add that as the owner within Teams.

This makes it possible to lock yourself out of Teams if the last owner leaves the team, it is not possible to add another member.

We tested this on May 19th/20th. Removing a member from the O365 did not remove them from Teams, and an Owner on the O365 group could not see the team unless they were added from within Teams.

    When adding a member to…

  2. Teams End Date

In order to keep the number of inactive/old/no longer used "teams" from exploding, have a way to set an "end date" for the Team. I wouldn't want to have the end date for the O365 Group (that the Team is based on), since that group may be used for other applications.

Maybe x number of days prior to end date, an email is sent to the Team owner, and then repeat the email for x number of days after the end date.

After a certain number of emails, disable the Team. After a month(s), delete the Team.

    Thanks,

    Geoff Weatherford

  3. Teams App notification options

We would like to have the possibility to set notification options at the Teams Channel level, so:

    1. Teams App - who gets notified (whole team, with exception) or (only certain members)
    2. Teams App notification allowed times or quiet times for all users on the whole channel (with exceptions for always notifications)
    3. Teams App notification types for the whole channel (Pop-up, vibrate, email or all)
    4. Consistent and immediate Teams App notifications.

Some times Teams app notifcations are not immediate and take many hours to appear.

    Thanks

  4. Ability to retain image

    ■Title(件名):
    Teams の画像について

Ability to save the images in Teams
    ***************

When sharing images by copy and paste, we can only keep it up to 2 weeks, or images will corrupt. We are handling it by changing how we upload images and notify people, though if Teams allow images to be kept more than 2 weeks, that would be better.

    Thank you for your consideration.

  6. Assign messaging policy to groups

With the new admin portal you can only assign messaging policy to individual users. Why is this happening when the previous admin portal let us set different options to for example Faculty, Students etc? It's near impossible to manage per-user Teams settings for several thousand students who come and go. We need to be able to let group membership control these settings in Teams.

  7. API for Call Quality Dashboard

As an Admin I want have API so I can integrate Call Quality Dashboard calls statistics and quality metrics into my system. Also, some API for some real-time calls monitoring will be definitely nice.

  8. Deleting messages

Could the creator of a Team be given the ability to delete other Team members messages from boards? Sometimes they will make mistakes that could be easily corrected by being able to delete them.

  9. Chat history to be shown to a new group chat member

For Microsoft Teams chat, when you add a new member into group chat which has three or more members, the new member can view the history chat. However, when you add other person into the existed one on one private chat, the newest member cannot view the chat history.
I would strongly request that a private chat to show the Conversation history to the newest member.

  10. Ethical Wall Enforcement

Please add the ability to enforce ethical walls within chats. It does not need to be anything fancy to begin with. A simple "member of group a" can not communicate to "member of group b". Similar to how you can setup ethical walls with Exchange Transport rules. This is a must in certain business and is the only thing blocking a rollout on Teams.

  11. Allow the Free Teams license to operate like the PowerBI free tier/licensing in o365 admin

Our org uses Azure cloud and PowerBI already and we want to use the new free version of Teams, however the way the free license is setup right now, existing Microsoft Accounts that have any sort of o365 tenant can't use the free version (only buying a full o365 license is an option).
We'd love to try out teams without having to create a whole new set of email addresses/tenant but we can't. Can you make the free teams license operate similar to the PowerBI Free/Pro license? We have a mix of both free and pro powerbi users in the…

  12. Limit the types of Teams a user can create

There are different kinds of teams. An Educational tenant for example has the flowing types:
    - Normal team
    - PLC team
    - Staff team
    - Classroom team

In order to deploy Teams to all users, we need the ability to specify which types of teams a user can create, preferably based on group membership. In our case we want all users to be able to create a normal team, but only a limited amount of users to create the other team types.

  15. Anonymous Join function of Microsoft Teams

There is a limited access to share file or screen when joining anonymously into meeting in Microsoft Teams. However, we would like to allow anonymous users to use those functions in some scenarios.
Not completely prohibit them to upload or to share screen, we would propose that an admin to manage their access to share file and screen.

  16. Get-Team without needing to be a member of the team

The Get-Team commandlet of the Teams module has one big flaw. You can only get teams that the current signed inn user is a member of. It does not help to be a global admin.
For now you have to rely on using office 365 groups commandlets to check if a group is Teams enabled.

  17. Only admin should be creating teams

Give businesses option to only have Office 365 admin to create Teams. Currently any user can create a team any way they want and my employers want only admin to create teams so that there is a consistent naming structure to team names. Also they don't want users creating teams with private chatting to external users that no one knows about using resources that the company has paid for.

  19. Implement individual permissions

I noticed that permissions on files and folders are managed based on groups, it will be good if it can be assigned to individuals.

  20. Schedual reoccurring messages/task

I would like to be able to schedual reoccuring task or messages. For example I would like to be able to have a certain message appear in a channel every month/week/day that says for example "Don't forgett to turn of the lights in the office when you leave".

    Thank you!
