  1. Microsoft Teams Azure AD Admin Role

Create a Microsoft Teams Azure AD Admin Role for organizations to have a more task oriented Security design around the service. Basically, the Global Admin is very privileged, and the Teams services is not something that a Global Admin, in large enterprises, really needs to management. An Admin role in Azure AD would allow the service management teams for Microsoft Teams to implement settings on the Teams services directly, and create, read, update, delete existing teams. This should be possible leveraging the Microsoft Graph.

  2. Allow sorting by column and export to excel in new Teams Admin Center

I like the new interface of the Manage Teams page. Please add sort options on columns (Channels, Members, etc.) and the ability to export to excel.

  3. Block Team owner from changing Team name

Block the Team owner from changing the name of the Team. Only Admins can change the name of the Team.

  4. Ability for Company Admins to provide a Company Guidline or Help URL for Users when they are creating a Team.

Microsoft Teams Needs the ability for Company Admins to provide a Company Guideline or Help URL when creating a Team.

The feature would be something like when an providing an admin option in the Office 365 Admin Center for the Admin to type in a Team Creation Guide Line Message and URL.

And once this is enabled then a message banner would be displayed on the create team page encouraging them to read the company guidelines before creating a team.

The guidelines itself would suggest to the user for the naming standards and when to make a channel or when…

  5. Allow users to add a 'How to pronounce my name' field under their name in the Identity viewer.

Many people have trouble remembering how to pronounce their coworkers names, and it becomes awkward to ask / mess up their name after a few weeks. It would be awesome if you could see how to pronounce someone's name when you hover over their name in the chat window.

++ Bonus if you could add other custom fields - i.e. gender pronoun.

  7. Get-teams

The powershell module Microsoft Teams needs improvement. The Get-Teams cmdlet returns only teams that the signed in user is a member of. If a user with permission to create teams creates 500 teams / 365 groups, As an admin, I cannot see which of those is Team enabled if they're private. The ability to have global visibility in the Teams backend is essential for administration and automation.

  8. Add our own policy links

We would like to be able to post our own links to our legal and privacy policies and not have it go to the Microsoft ones.

Also, would be great if there would be a feature to force new users to check off that they have read the policy (like in Yammer).

  10. Limit Org Wide Teams to actual users with licenses

When we create an Org-Wide team it adds every "user" account in our entire Active Directory into the team. Thsi includes service accounts, exchange heal mailboxes, and all kinds of things that aren't actual people. There needs to be an option so that we can choose to only invite actual users. If it can point to an OU, we can specify our "employees" out to rule out all the non-users. If it's limited to AD Online, then it could only add people who have an actual Office 365 license attached to their account. Every time we create a service account,…

  11. Allow application settings to be administered via Registry / GPO or add to Tenant

Teams needs to have the capability to be managed like the rest of the O365 suite via Registry and/or GPO settings. Things like Startup at login, Start minimized to tray, suppressing the app launch splash screen, suppressing the 'install mobile app' banner, t-bot, app add-ins should all be manageable and in one place.

  12. Prevent member from leaving a team

We should be able to lock Team / Office 365 group in such way that members can't leave the team.

  13. Ability to run Get-Team without Teams license assigned

To run get-team requires Teams license as per the update from MS. Please make it available without assigning Teams license. As many administrators in our customer does not have any license assigned.

  14. Make UnifiedGroupWelcomeMessageEnabled Work for Teams

Scenario: setting this setting to false to prevent a welcome message spamming a large group upon creation/addition then adding the members to the O365 Group via Exchange Admin Center - members do not receive welcome message as expected. Adding these members via Teams client - members DO receive the welcome message, and the setting is apparently ignored. This is bad because suggested group membership practice by Microsoft is as follows:

"Best practice for managing Teams members: Add and remove members from the Teams client to ensure that the correct cascading access control to other dependent cloud applications is applied. Additionally,…

  15. Configure app start-up behavior when install Teams desktop app

I want disable auto-start option after the installation of Teams desktop app.

IT Admins would like users to start using Teams app after the announcement of Teams. IT Admins are planning to install Teams app to the users' machines silently. With current behavior, Teams apps are launched automatically, and users will get confused by unknown application being launched. The customer wants to users to start Teams app on their own after IT Admins have made announcements about it.

  16. OneNote and OneDrive Integration

I would like to make a loop with all those Microsoft Products :

    -CRM Dynamics
    -OneDrive/SharePoint
    -OneNotes

To reach this out, it would be great to :

    - Allow us to open an existing and specific Notebook.
    - Allow us to open an existing and specific SharePoint folder
    - Allow us to delete or hide the file Tab on every channels to avoid confusion.

BTW , you've already done a excellent job : Thank you team =)

  17. We would like to block chat by TEAM and not turn it off for the domain, or by role

We have some Teams that really want to have the chat feature, clubs and teams and teacher groups and teacher/student groups, But we also have some Teams with younger students that are not using chat appropriately ie. 5th grade. It would be SUPER if we could control the Chat and the Video capabilities by each Team Owner.

  18. Outbound Number Manipulations per PSTN Device

In skype for business server, we had the ability to write "Called Number Translation Rules" and "Calling Number Translation Rules" for each PSTN gateway.

There is no functionality to do this in Teams, so for each SBC I need to translate the powerful regex and translation statements that were available in Skype Server into the SBC.

I feel this is a huge functional oversight.

  19. Entierprise Deployment .MSI That Installs Into C:\Program Files

Build an MSI that will install the Teams application into "C:\Program Files". Then any user that logs onto the computer can go to Start > Search for Teams > Launch Teams > Sign in to their account > Then Teams Builds the appropriate App Data folder for them.

This would be great for Enterprise Deployment. Some Enterprise project groups consist of 15-20+ people, and having an enterprise deployment solution would help speed up Microsoft Teams adoption.
