  1. Assign messaging policy to groups

With the new admin portal you can only assign messaging policy to individual users. Why is this happening when the previous admin portal let us set different options to for example Faculty, Students etc? It's near impossible to manage per-user Teams settings for several thousand students who come and go. We need to be able to let group membership control these settings in Teams.

  2. Is there a way to export team membership and email address?

Team Owners should have the ability to export team member names and email address into a .CSV file.

As an admin, I'd like to be able to double check with my support teams to figure out when we don't have proper access to reports and other sites that our Team Site is tied into.

So I'd like to be able to export the team member list so I can audit who is apart of the team, remove who isn't needed or share needed information to other parties.

  3. Teams Archiving PowerShell Commands

We would like functionality in PowerShell to check the archive status of a Team and also to be able to set the status.

For example as we’d like to programmatically change a Team to archived if it hasn’t been accessed in 6 months. It should also change the SharePoint site to read only for the members as it does in the Teams UI.

  4. Allow adding or editing Teams SharePoint site Content Types

Would absolutely love the ability to add templates and forms into content types in the document library created by teams in the team SharePoint site. So that when someone goes to add a new document they have the ability to choose from templates and the content types I put into SharePoint. Also some more of the standard site features of a standard SP site would be lovely (I.E. workflows and the like)

  5. Prevent owner from deleting Team

We should be able to lock Team / Office 365 group from being deleted by Group owner.

  6. Add new team member "Roles"

It would be great if there could be additional "Roles" set within channels and the ability to tag those roles in a message. (For example: Manager, Supervisor, etc) So, if I wanted to message all managers I could simply type @Manager to flag them in my message.

  8. Audit more user actions

We need to have audit logging of at least

file uploads and downloads in all contexts (meetings, Team chats, 1-1 chat etc)
    edited message content

  9. Delete/Hide all messages from a channel

Similarly to clearing logs, it would be very useful if the team owners can clear out all the previous messages in a channel.

  10. block file upload on external Teams

When users are invited by external companies to theirs Teams group, there should be a possibility to block or manage the file upload on external Teams (DLP)

  11. Hide email addresses for users

I want to limit my employees ability to communicate with each to conversation solely available within the teams they are added too. While I have disabled the "Chat" option, each persons email address is displayed when you click on there username in a conversation. Is there away to hide users emails so they are not visible?

Background: All employees we have are remote, working in different states, making different wages, having different work loads, etc. I would prefer to limit there communication that may range on a variety of non work related topics that could potentially cause problems.

  12. Allow owner of a team hide a channel from rest of the members or drag channel into a different team.

Allow an owner of a team hide a channel once it is finshed.
    Example:
My company has an "Advanced Program" Team; basically of all the preproduction parts. Within this team we have channels of all the different programs/customers to these parts. Once a program/customer has reached FULL production and isn't talked about in the weekly company meeting, we have no need to have the channel.
    Issue:
We do not want to delete the channel and lose all information. Nor can we drag that channel out of the "Advanced" team into the "Full Production" team.
    Solution:
    Allow an Owner to hide…

  13. Use Display Name field instead of First Name in multi-party chats

Use Display Name field instead of First Name in multi-party chats

In some cases, we set display name of the customer’s account differently than listed in the First and Last name fields in AD. For example the first name is James, but in display name he is listed as Jim. Let's assume that there is no option to change the First name field, and only Display name field can be modified.
When I start conversation with one person – his or her name will be listed based on Display name field in AD (we list it as lastname, firstname). However,…

  14. Disabling OneDrive within Teams Cloud Storage

I would like to be able to disable OneDrive within our Teams Cloud storage options. We do not use OneDrive and its confusing having another storage application we don't use.

  16. Need the opportunity to unmute all participants on the meeting.

An Admin setting needs to be available so when a meeting is set up you can opt to un-mute all participants who join and give them the option of muting themselves. Also, the meeting owners need the ability to unmute participants.

  17. Open files in office desktop by default instead of within Office Online in Teams

Open files (powerpoint, excel, ...) on desktop by default instead of within Powerpoint Online in Teams, or at least be able to configure the default method for opening.

  20. Option to disable banner while still receiving notification

We would like to have an option that disables the pop-up notification but still allows the icon to blink on the taskbar, like Skype or Skype for Business.
Currently we only have the option to have the pop-up banners which are intrusive on a single screen setup, or to disable them completely.
