  1. Allow admins to manage channel membership

By default all team members are added to all channels. Admins should be able to add/remove team members from channels, and should also be able to disable the default behavior of having all team members automatically added to newly created channels.

  2. Add Option to disable Store Function

This is related to the below Option.

    https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/18585292-ability-to-disable-some-tab-app-tiles

Have received several requests from companys requesting that they need to limit what apps the user can add to a team.

Admins should have the ability to not only limit what tabs/apps the users see but also disable the Store feature completely.

  3. Cross team channels

It would be good to have the option of creating channels that span multiple teams. This is great of matrix type organisations where you may have portfolio type teams (Marketing, IT, HR etc), but have cross team functions like Project Management. In that case we would be able to create a channel that is visible within all selected teams and members therein, while preserving other channels to be private within individual teams.

  4. Allow Bots but not other 3rd Party Apps

Allow Bots but not other Third Party Apps

There recently was a new setting added to "Enable/disable default apps". There is a product limitation though in that Bots are considered 3rd party apps but if one disables sideloading then the 3rd party default apps can't be enabled/disabled.

We would like to be able to both sideload bots and prevent the use of other 3rd party apps!

  5. Granular bot and tab controls based on Office 365 Groups classifications

Currently bots & tabs have one control - on or off. Many organizations must turn this option of due to data protection issues. Corporate data will be sent out of the Office 365 environment to unknown sources (bots and tabs).

What I would like to see is a granular control that allows you to enable bots & tabs for Teams that have specific Office 365 Groups classifications. For instance you might enable bots & tabs for "Public" or "Unrestricted" Teams but not for "internal" or "restricted" ones.

Thank you all very much for the great response. The survey is now closed. The feature team will be reviewing all the data that was gathered and responded based on the findings.
Again, thank you for helping us make Microsoft Teams the best it can be.

  7. Admins need more control over channel email options

Currently admins can turn channel emails on/off at the tenant level, but have no visibility or control over what channels have their emails set to. I suggest admins should have a tenant-level policy that allows them to set a default channel email setting, as well as giving admins the option to prevent users from changing their channel to a different setting, requiring an admin to do it for them.

  8. disable file share

block the option to upload files, or download on a mobile device

we have this!  ·  Warren responded

There seems to be some confusion around how this works. First off the ability to delete messages is off by default.

The IT Admin who setup the Teams environment will need to turn on the admin ability to delete messages. Once they have enabled the functionality, admins will be able to delete user messages.

If your IT Admin as enabled it and you still are having troubles please let me know in the comments below.

  14. Control "public connectivity to Free Microsoft Teams

Skype for Business Online allows administrators to control "public IM connectivity" on the admin portal.
Microsoft Teams also should allow administrators to control "public connectivity to free Microsoft Teams" on the admin portal.
O365 users worry that home users can install free Microsoft Teams on thier PCs and invite O365 users to their teams.
O365 users are more likeiy to wrongly upload confidential information to the free teams.

  15. Setup auto/manual cleanup of unknown users

As users come and go from the organization, the teams are being left with orphaned "Unknown User" in the list of members. There should be an admin function or scheduled cleanup to remove these orphaned users from the team membership. I understand their old posts will say Unknown User and you can't change that, but at least clean up the user membership list. It would be great if the name of the poster was not dynamic and tied to a profile, so that historical posts would still say the name of the poster. Maybe you can add the name of…

  16. Link Teams to existing SharePoint site

At our office we're using Teams for parts of our Project execution, we use it to communicate, collect information, share files, compare notes, create a wiki, etc.

At the same time we have Project Online, with a registration of the same projects. We use that for our deliverables, time- and projectmanagement. But also for information gathering (as we do in Teams).

How awsome would it be when I integrate some of the Teams features into the corresponding Project site. And Share the library, and the OneNote.

Now we use two libraries (one for Teams and one for Project) and we…

  17. Time limit for editing/deleting posts

We would need an admin setting to set a time limit for how long users should be able to edit/delete their posts/conversations.
Owner should be able to delete without a limit but members should be able to edit/delete for example for only 15 minutes.

  18. Rule: Only Members of a security group should be allowed to add Guest users on MSTeams

Issue Description: Customer want to ensure that only certain people can do this. These people are:
    1. Owner of the Team
    2. In the group F_P_DOX_KU_EXTERN (Security Group) the group is on SharePoint Admin Center > Sharing > Who can share outside your organization
Let only users in selected security groups share with authenticated external users - F_P_DOX_KU_EXTERN

    This worked two weeks back.
If this is not possible customer would like to ensure that these people are:
    1. Owner of the Team
    2. Have the Role for adding guests set in the AAD
Customer have tried to get this to…

  20. 3rd party App - audit apps to see who is using or setup a 3rd party app and track usage

3rd party App - audit apps to see who is using or setup a 3rd party app and track usage. As we disable 3rd party apps we need a way to audit currently used ones and reenable on an individual app basis. Now we have no idea what apps are being used and who has enabled or started using them. If we disable these we will have impact to our end users.
