  1. There seem to be some Mac compatibility issues, specifically with OneNote

It'd be great, as the Organizer/Leader/Creator of a team, to be able to set up my team's home page appropriately. I work on a Mac and cannot set up a OneNote tab.

  2. Mac Thick Client Support Kerberos Auth

My work device is domain joined, I have a Kerberos TGT on my device, and it works just fine when I use my browser. Kerberos authentication then just works with our ADFS identity provider, and I log into Teams, Office 365, and a multitude of other SAML protected endpoints. No additional password required while I'm logged in and on network.

The Teams thick client however always prompts me for a username and password for our ADFS endpoint, in spite of being on network and logged in. It would be nice if the Teams thick client could leverage my kerberos authentication…

  4. Please make it possible to zoom in on the Mac client

Most other Mac tools allow the user to Command+/Command- to zoom in on the screen. The fonts are really small for these old eyes of mine.

  5. Teams application auto start on macOS fails

Teams starts and gives up far too soon on the Mac. It should check that the site needed is reachable before failing or fail silently if it's starting as soon as you log in to the Mac.

Whether you have a captive portal or the app starts and fails before WiFi can join a network - teams never fails to show me a "you've had an error" screen when logging in to my mac in the AM.

  6. Make keybinds consistent

On the mac version of of teams, if you do CMD+Shift+V in channels, you paste from your clipboard in plain text.

When you do it in i private chat however it starts a call. This is very frustrating, since I'm afraid of using keybinds in teams now as they are context sensitive.

  7. Mac notification banner interaction

On a Mac, I want to be able to swipe away new messages AND reply in the notification window, just like Slack

  8. Mac app terminates automatically and continuously nags about admin permissions for updates

The Mac OS X Client is a horrible app.
It keeps terminating automatically without any notification and it simply switches me offline even when I want to stay online and available for my colleagues. I can not figure out why or when the client terminates.
Moreover, the Team Helper App update keeps bothering me several times a day that it needs admin permission to update something.

Thats not the way how client applications should work these days.

  9. Open in background

Teams is the only program I use in OS X, that will put itself over top of other windows when it's launched after I switch back to another application. Most of the time I just need teams to run in the background when I use it and this is a big annoyance for me. It reminds me of when I used Windows 2000 as a primary OS. Please fix this.

  10. Make notifications work on Mac wihtout teams running

I'd like Notifications to work on Mac when I don't have the Teams app open. Maybe that Teams Helper app could run in the background as a daemon even when Teams.app isn't open.

I hacked it into working by making a second copy of the Teams app and adding <key>LSUIElement</key><true/> to the Info.plist file inside the package contents. Now I can always run the 'background' copy to get notifications with no dock icon and open the original Teams app when I want to use the interface.

  12. Allow Office desktop apps to edit files in Mac

Can we have access to editing MS Office files directly in the desktop apps on the Teams Mac desktop app? It works in the Windows version. Kills productivity on the Mac. Also, it should be available not only on the file tab, but also on linked files directly on the conversations (such as when linking a file from Dropbox or OneDrive).

  13. Please stop request to "Add Helper" Popups on the Mac.

There is no indication on what the Helper does or what why I need to add the Helper. For all I know, I can be installing a virus.

Video call sound comes out of standard speakers, and no way to change to what the system is configured for, like external speakers.

  18. smartsheet integration is broken

The access tocken not picked up by the desktop app on OSX at times.

Some smartsheet sheets would load, others would show the login page.

Pressing login would authenticate but nothing would happen in teams.

    This really cripples smartsheet integration

    Please fix

  20. When using the iPad with split keyboard, you can’t click the send button

I use the split keyboard on an iPad. When I try to use teams conversations, the little button to ‘send’ disappears behind the keyboard and so does the text window btw. I must change to the docked keyboard in order to send. Please fix!
