  2. moving a document breaks link

When we are sorting out our filing system in files, creating new folders to move and tidy up our document's this changes the location of the document and breaks any links you have previously sent to users also the link in the conversations. This is extremely unworkable for our organisation, we need to be able to upload and move documents. keeping the integrity of any previous links sent. For example if you attach a document to a channel, this does not go into a folder it just sits in files, when links are sent round for this document they are…

  6. Excel

A Chart that I have uploaded to Teams is having issues. It is a Pivot Chart that allows the criteria to be selected via a slicer. When the file is opened in MS Teams the all the columns have their own color applied and are listed within the Legend. When the slicer is applied from that point on all the columns have the same color and it is the same in the Legend.

  7. Setting to always open documents in native application

I never want to open the document in Teams, or in Office Online. I always want to use the native desktop program. Would be nice if there was a global setting so documents always opened in desktop applications.

  8. Link to document in conversation should give option to open document in desktop Word/Excel/Etc.

When you add a link to a document, it is annoying having to first open the document online within teams, and then having to open it in native application from there.

  9. Ability to post video's and compress them

My clients would like to get rid off all unsupported communication methods. What is preventing their employees to only use teams, is the lack of support of posting video's to a channel. Additionaly it would be fantastic if the video's are compressed as well to save storage.

So please add the possibility to add compressed video's next to images for better user adoption.

  11. Migration tool that converts fileshare directory to Team and automatically loads documents into the Team Files

I have a fileshare with hundreds of directories (1 directory per client). Each directory has tens to hundreds of sub-directories (1 sub directory per client project). I would like to make a team for each client/directory, with channels for each client project/sub directory). I want the contents of the sub directories loaded into the Team Channel Files locations. Is there any way to automate this?

  12. Make link to document saved in Team channel open native application when clicked

When I want to send a link (say to a Word document saved in Teams) to a team member, we want the document to open directly in Word when the link is clicked instead of launching the web version of teams.

The team member has access/privileges to the same sharepoint location where the document is saved. It's a huge time waster launching the web version of Teams just so they can do several more clicks to get to the document.

when we delete the file/files in windows, the user by mistake press the delete key twice, and its start to pop up the deleting process window for both the action instead one window should alert its already in process to save time and Ram process.

  15. Add my files views to the files tab and be able to sync them offline.

We are trying to move our colleagues at ISS Facility service away from our fileserver to teams. Some major bottlenecks:
    1. Not able to save directly from office 2016 into a specific channel/folder.
    2. Not able to sync the files you contributes too or created automatically offline so you can keep working while having nog internet connection.
    3. Be able to give directly access on basis of AD distribution lists even if they change.
This idea is about the second issue.

  16. Allow to hide "Files" from the header menu.

My company wants all the files to be stored in SharePoint Libraries and access rights managed in Sharepoints. If a Teams is deleted, the files related shouldn't disappear.
Therefore it will be nice to be able to hide "Files" from the header menu of the Team in order to avoid the user to store files at the wrong place.

  17. Easyer file navigation in Teams

Our users like Teams but find it hard to navigate in files. They gget confused with files stored in the different channels and have a hard time finding their files.

When users click the files tab in Teams we will like the Teams structructure to be reflected in the file navigation as default in the same way OneDrive files is displayed.

Have a look at the PDF i have attaced here i have visualized how we will want it to be.

I am positive that this will make Teams even better for our users :)

  18. Make Files In Teams Function More Like Windows Explorer

The Windows File Explorer has always been great at handling and moving files. In Teams, moving and managing files and folders is very inefficient. Having folder trees and drag and drop capability would make the experience much much better. We really want to use Teams as a front end for our OneDrive store, and use OneDrive as a file share for remote users. This is currently not an option as using Teams in this manner is rather inefficient.

  19. We noticed that when we share a document within Teams that multiple users cannot be in the document at the same time.

We love that SharePoint allows multiple users to be in the document at the same time. If we do it inside TEAMS, it locks users out of the document. How can we fix this? If we add in the SharePoint App (inside TEAMS) and link files from there - can we all work within the document that way?

  20. Add description for files

It would be nice to be able to add a short description to files uploaded in Teams. We find it cumbersome to rely on the file name alone. It seems like the Title property could be exposed to accomplish this.
