  1. The desktop app is far worse than the website. Stop pushing it.

It has worse performance. It has drastically more annoying notification behavior and lacks all the features you enjoy in a browser (like extendability or the ability to remove your annoying animated emojis).

So I really don't see why I need to see a notification banner constantly that tells me about the amazing desktop app.

  2. Let Teams tell users when Skype for business is open (so Teams won't start)

I had Skype fB open on my desktop and wanted to start Teams. It gave an error message but didn't hint me that Skype and Teams are unable to be active at the same time. Why not anyway?

  3. There needs to be a back button while browsing through folders

There needs to be a back button to take the file to take back to the parent folder.

  4. Make app resizable

Provide an ability to resize the desktop app, i.e. zoom in and out like a browser does. Or just a setting that controls the display size. This will make it easier to see more objects (planner and conversation cards) on one screen.

  5. Add External Link to Navigation

I would like the ability to add an internet link to the navigation in Teams. My company uses ADP for our payroll. Managers and Supervisors login to approve hours, address missed punches, approve time-off, etc. It would be great if we could add an icon that links to an external website both personally and globally.
So, where you have the links to Chat, Teams, Meetings, etc. I would like to be able to add the external link there.
    Thanks!

  6. Additional download links for the desktop app.

On the O365 homepage there's a dropdown menu to install the desktop office suite or any additional apps, but Microsoft Teams is no where to be found. The only links available are for running the browser version.

Could we get a download link added to one of the O365 pages (with the rest of the apps) or even a button or menu option inside the browser app itself?

Having some additional links is preferred to the constant prompts received while using the browser version.

  7. Trello won't sign in from desktop app

Note: Your browser was unable to load all of Trello's resources. They may have been blocked by your firewall, proxy or browser configuration.

  8. The width of channels panel is hardcoded and it's very tight!

The width of channels panel is hardcoded and it's very tight!
It's really hard e.g. to analyze the code, logs when you are investigating an issue.

Please consider panel's customization for users in desktop app. I believe that most of the people are using a wide screen at work :)

  9. problem with displaying new chat updates

Teams shows me chat updates, but in reality it's group activity. You need to show individual updates differently than group updates.

  10. alt-[arrows] under "files"

I heavily use alt-leftarrow and alt-rightarrow when navigating links in Windows Explorer and any browser. I would be delighted to see this same functionality while working in the folder structure of teams.

  11. Takes too many resources

Teams hogs way too many resources on Windows 10. Too much RAM and too much processor to keep it running

  12. Customization

Add personalisation just like in SharePoint where you can add your Company logo and look and feel + adding custom style sheets etc.
Would be so much nicer if you can make it more personal to your own companies styling

  13. notification on desktop app

Multiple notifications came out from the same chat and there is no way to dismiss the notification other than clicking into the chat one by one. Each line of chat are displayed as separate notification and flooded the right side of screen.

  14. Switch order for sign-off and exit in taskbar context menu

If you click right on the taskbar icon of Microsoft Teams to open the context menu, you do see "exit" above "sign-off" which is quite confusing. All other Microsoft apps have "exit" at the end of the list, which make much more sense.

  15. Tray icon menu options: Logout and Close should be switched

When I'm finished working with Teams, to close the program, I have to right-click on tray icon and click Close. But EVERYTIME I click logut instead, because it is at the bottom of the menu, and Close is one position above.

Please switch them in places, so that I can close Teams without thinking too much about it. It should behave like EVERY OTHER TRAY APP!

  17. The contacts pane does not show up automatically to be able to Admit external contacts or dial in

Guys, If I don't make sure to click on the contacts pane before people start to join the Meeting I have no notification whatsoever to tell me hey there's people waiting in the lobby waiting to be admitted in fact is there a lobby? Please either pin the contacts list automatically on the Conference calls or just create a simple notification whenever a new person needs to be admitted so far there is not such a thing on my Desktop version: 1.100.5963 (64Bits)

  18. Actually release updates

Updates to this product move at a snail's pace. Is there something that is the complete opposite of Agile that you all are using to get your work done? Does every decision and pull request you all make have to go all the way up to Satya for approval? It'd be one thing if this thing was free or already the leading product, but its not. I have visited this board and used this product for well over a year and nothing has really changed. What a waste of time and space.

  19. Teams prevents your computer from going to sleep

As the title says, our workstations which normally go to sleep after a set time now stay on forever because Microsoft Teams keeps the systems awake. Close teams, problem solved. Kind of irritating.

  20. Share My Visual Studio so I can remote Pair Programming.

I should be able to click a button and Capture my Visual Studio, Git Bash, etc. Once clicked any user in the group can edit, save, copy, etc. This would be useful for Pair Programming. Not a screen capture, a remote desktop for an application.
