  1. Messages get lost, and hard to search the conversation

Messages get lost, and hard to search the conversation. if user can quickly search by keyword, and messages load faster, it would be great

  2. Teams app window position

    I have multiple screens.
I open Teams and then move it to another screen.
When I close Teams and re-open it, it then opens on my main desktop screen again. This did not always happen, in previous versions of teams it would open on the screen it was last on.

This behaviour seems to change from update to update - almost as if there wasn't proper version control going on.

  3. Improved ability to handle Images and Media

Images load one by one and the process of doing it is very slow. It would be nice if you could paste several images and/or media to have it end up with something like the attached where you see a preview and can expand to see the full size, or download it.

This process is also especially painful on the ios mobile app (not sure on android), but if it handled images more like other mobile text apps that would be much improved.

  5. Teams in SysTray does not distinguish between Activity & Presence

Whether you are in a meeting or got a message, in both cases you get a RED DOT. This is not clear or very helpful.

  6. Restore window to same monitor it was minimized on.

I have 3 monitors, the Left 2 are portrait while the right is landscape.
The primary monitor is the landscape one on the right.

I place Teams on my left-most monitor. If I minimize, then go to restore it later, it returns to the right monitor instead of the same monitor it was minimized on.

  7. Microsoft Teams - Include Downloads Manager

When downloading multiple, large files - the current Teams desktop client DOES NOT show a 'progress bar'...only a toast notification when the files have finished downloading.

Include a "Downloads" or "Download Manager" button on the left side that shows downloads in progress, and that allows incomplete downloads to be 're-downloaded'.

At this time, there is no way for me to know if everything downloaded without comparing files in my 'Downloads' folder to the files in the channel (slow, inefficient).

  9. Better pen support for desktop client

Pen input (scrolling, tapping, etc.) does not work well and freezes the window for a couple moments.

  10. Add a flag to the MSI installer to clean up per user installs

The new MSI installer is a very welcome addition, but the process of converting a machine from a per-user install to system wide is a bit of a pain.

Why not add an option to the installer to do this when the MSI is deployed?

  11. Improve Install options - Install for all users and install location

Raising this again as Microsoft closed the previous request, saying it was complete even though it was not. (link below)

Teams should install to the program files directory, not the users AppData.

And NO, the answer is not to put a copy of the MSI in Pogram Files and deploy to the users AppData when they login.

  12. Slow interface

Lazy loading for chat history is implemented quite bad and without any local cache. It's quite challanging to search among older conversations.

  13. add more apps

In the desktop app, I should be able to add more items to the left side of the app panel.

Unless the option is already there, and I am merely missing it.

  14. so much wasted space - only 8 comments/entries fit at a time. GROSS. look at IRC, get closer to that. This is just wasteful.

So much wasted space - only 8 comments/entries fit at a time. GROSS. look at IRC, get closer to that. This is just wasteful - of screen real estate and users's time.

Who came up with this design? Certainly not someone who would actually USE the tool.

  15. Teams Desktop app "snap" to maximize the screen doesn't fill entire screen

If I use the "Snap assist" (dragging a window to the top of my monitor to maximize the Teams desktop app, the screen "maximizes" but is about 1/4 of an inch from the top of the screen. I have duplicated this behavior on a 2-monitor setup from one computer, and using a separate laptop with a single-monitor display. I don't think it's much of an "issue" with a single-monitor set up because you wouldn't have a reason to take the steps to replicate, but it happens consistently as follows.

Steps to Replicate (assume 2-monitor setup):

    1. "snap" top of screen to…

  16. Teams Windows client greatly increases roaming profile size (Appdata\Roaming\Microsoft\Teams)

On Windows, Teams is available as an end user self-install app. The app installs to AppData\Local, so not part of the roaming profile. However, it stores LOTS of content in AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Teams.

Our organisation uses roaming profiles and profile size policy; users are beginning to exceed a [very generous!] limit, and Teams is a big cause of this.

    Please fix!

  18. Images need to behave like consumer Skype

Pasting an image into the chat window, and having it very slowly upload like a file is very painful and not user friendly. Please emulate the behaviour of consumer Skype when it comes to handling images.

Teams even said my 4.4MB image was too large... other chat applications just compress the image and don't complain. You can't expect users to be compressing their own images in order to be able to send them, it'll be a support nightmare.

  19. Liked channel

Usually, when I see that message is important or useful I put a like. There is no way to select all messages from all channels by likes.
