  1. Multiple users editing in Excel & Word

    When multiple users open excel via teams, while working and another user filter then the excel version I am working on also filters.
    In Google Sheets all users work on there own sheet but see other user initials but nothing happens when other users filter the sheet.

    現在 Teams を多く利用しております。
    最新表示にそれぞれのユーザーの情報がユーザーの名前で表示されるため便利に確認しております。
    しかし日本語環境だと、名前のみで表示されているユーザーが多数おります。
    連絡先の項目内 ”表示名” に空白が入ると空白以降の表示となる動作は理解しておりますが、日本語環境だと、一般的に性の後に空白を入れ名前を入力する事が多いかと存じます。
    現在は Microsoft 365 管理センターにて変更をする事で表示を見やすいよう検討しておりますが、ユーザーが多数いて工数もかなりのものになるため、機能の拡張を要望します。

    When users set the language setting to “Japanese” in Microsoft Teams, some of Japanese users are displayed with only their first names in the user information. The reason of this is in Japanese, most people put space between surname and first name, and if the space is included in “Display name” field in contact information, letters entered before the space won’t be shown in the Display name.

  4. Ability to add groups within groups under contacts.

    Many times we have different departments within our company that could be saved as a group under contacts. However my contacts in one group could have vastly different work. Person X in Group1 could be much better to ask about Product Z than person Y might be.

    If I could add a group within another group me and my colleagues could avoid fracturing our contact list so massively and make it way more effective. The main group could be named "Department 1" and the subgroup within the main group could be "Product Z"

    Teams shows in default as away after 3 minutes of idle time. It should be given access to the user to set his own time.

  8. problem with teams status

    hello there, i have a question in regards to MS teams, why is my status always in red / busy? even though there are no meetings going on in my calendar, Is there an option to edit settings so that i am in control of the status?

    i would like a feature for being in control, like skype for business had.

    for example


    • sync my status with outlook CHECK OR NOT

    • set away status after XX minutes CHECK OR NOT

    shouldn't be that hard no?

    External contacts cannot see my status. I would like to have this option to show per contact.

  11. Teams should have a report to show the user activity such the periods he was active, inactive, away etc.

    With the above report companies will be able to track the users activity on his desktop, see the periods the employee is active / inactive on his desktop

  12. Hide offline contacts

    I miss the functionality of Skype where you can hide all contacts that are not online. The skype groups are much cleaner and consists only of my online contacts. The rest are either away or offline. This function is a must in Teams or else the groups will be cluttered with all the different statuses mixed. You can't get a good overview.

  13. Create Custom Org wide status with icons

    It would be nice to be able to create a group of custom org wide status or custom statuses that also use icons. Example could be "Working Remotely" with a House icon. Or out sick with a Sick emoji icon. the icons should be displayed for a person in the Chat area of beside the users name

  15. Link contact groups from Outlook to Teams

    Ensure that contact groups that have been created in Outlook are visible / can be used in Teams. Now I have to re-create certain groups in teams and instead would just like to copy from Outlook

  16. Lag in status symbol

    There is a lag in the status symbol (green for present, red for occupied etc) compared to Skype. Also, I miss the search for contacts under Chat.

  18. Incorrect status in teams

    We have noticed that our Teams statuses are consistently incorrect. Even when some team members are active in Teams they are shown as "away" or "offline". For example, although I can see that my status is "active", my colleagues see my status as "offline".

    Can you please fix this bug?

    Hi — My apologies for the delay in updating this item. We rolled out a fix a year ago for a specific issue of status changing to away in Teams when you were still active on the device. We thought this had fixed the “incorrect status” issue. From comments below, it sounds like people are still seeing issues.

    If you are still having issues, it would be super helpful if you can capture logs by typing Ctrl + Shift + Alt + 1, and send the file from your downloads folder along with device info and detailed repro steps to teamsml@microsoft.com.

    Add option to disable automatic status. I do not want other people to know what I am doing. I would like to see an option that complete disables the automatic status update.

  20. Improvements NEEDED for "Contacts"

    For the "Contacts" in the "Chat" tab. Have ability like S4B to add Distribution groups. Also have ability to start a group chat from these groups, same as S4B. You don't always need a "Team" room for a quick group chat.
    Also need ability to move and sort these groups manually. Currently no way to sort manually, it does it automatic alphabetically.
    Every time you leave the "Contacts" in "Chat" and return all the groups are expanded. These should not auto expand, they should stay minimized until the user expands them manually when needed.
