Hi there, you’ve reached the user feedback site for Microsoft Teams. It’s managed by our Customer Advocacy Team inside Microsoft Teams Engineering led by Karuana Gatimu.   1. Make Teams more fun and less horribly corporate and evil

    In corporate settings, still allow me to be choose a friendly display name (but keep all the corporate **** attached to my profile). Or at least allow me to truncate my name to First and Last Initial, e.g., Bill J. or Sarah B.

  2. Mention people of the company but not included to the team

    Sometimes we need to ask something to a person who is not member of the team. It could be vey helpful if we can mention a person on a conversation, that person could read and answer the message but not see anything else.

  3. automated away replies

    Add the ability to state that you’re away on teams...ideally by integrating with the outlook feature or on its own

  4. Log out and all Teams does is log in again ... WTF???

    So, I figure out a way to "log out" and all Teams wants to do is present a login dialog! WTF? When I leave, I want to leave! Is this some setting/behavior that employers want? Who knows? Back when we used Skype for Business, when I logged out - that was it. But Teams seems eerily 'sticky' and to keep me 'connected' in spite of MY preferences and my personal time. While you are at it - when I am 'Away' you should suppress messages and report to the originator that I am in fact 'Away'. But I guess none…

  5. Connect desktop app status indicator to activity on desktop not just teams.

    On the desktop app the status indicator changes to inactive, even if it is open and just minimized, until I maximize Teams app and click in it.

  6. Want to reset the Microsoft Teams presence by administrators on a regular basis

    ■Description(内容):
    Microsoft Teams のプレゼンスは手動で設定ができるが、連絡が可能なのか退席中なのかの状態を自動で取得したいため、定期的に手動で設定したプレゼンスをリセットしたい。
    テレワークでの運用を進めるにあたり、メンバーの正しいプレゼンスをを確認する必要があるため、管理者側でプレゼンスをリセットする機能の実装を要望します。
    It is possible to set the Microsoft Teams presence manually, but since we’ll like to automatically retrieve the status whether they are available or away, we hope the administrators will be able to reset the manually set presence on a regular basis.
    In order to promote teleworking, we need to know all the members’ presence correctly. Therefore, we would request a functionality to reset the presence from the admin side on a regular basis.

  7. Show Out of Office Message Even When Signed Out

    We've noticed when users are out of the office, and set their message in Outlook, it will carry over to Teams, as long as the user is signed into Teams somewhere. If they "sign out" of Teams, which someone might do when they leave for vacation, they show "offline" and do not reflect the Out of Office. It would be nice to show them as "offline" but still show the Out of Office message so the sender knows when they will be back.

  8. Profile view of Teams users

    There are profiles viewed Offline and Date. Please unify them one way so that it is more recognizable.

  9. Make status available for external contacts

    External contacts cannot see my status. I would like to have this option to show per contact.

  10. Include information for when client is available

    Skype included details of when the client was going to next be free or available. This was helpful so I wasn't bothering the person when they were in the middle of a meeting or away. I would think that the feature may become available with different calendar integration, but I wanted to mention the idea.

  11. Archive users who are deleted so chats with them do not disappear

    I tried pulling up an old conversation with important information between me and a team member who left. Those chats completely disappear. That's access to important information I'll never have just because that user is no longer in teams. Slack doesn't do this. You always have all of the data regardless of whether or not that person is no longer on your team.

  12. Quickly setting status without bringing the app into focus

    It would be nice to be able to quickly set your status by right clicking on the icon in the taskbar without bringing the application into focus

  13. Usage reporting available to Team Owners (not just IT people)

    I can access some information via sharepoint as to the usage on my teams site but not in teams. Why? Is this because I'm not an IT administrator? I need to be able to see who is using the site and how active they are so I can help inspire/educate people to get involved and active on the site. I HATE having to call IT to get usage information...it is crazy.

  14. Presence "Off work" in Teams for mobile.

    There is presence options "Off work" in Teams for mobile, but is should be the same as the Teams for Desktop.

  15. Detailed information needed for Teams presence

    I would like to have a public information for the presence activity deference based on the event creation method. Specifically, I need detailed information for the differences depending on the following scenarios in case when setting the Register Teams as the chat app for Office option in Teams, or when setting co-existing mode to island mode in Teams admin center.
    1. An event is created from Outlook on the web
    2. An event is created from Outlook client
    3. A Teams meeting is created from Microsoft Teams
    4. A Teams meeting is created from Outlook client

  16. It’s not as good as Skype and not at all user friendly

    Not user friendly.. searching for new contact and their status is such a pain

  17. Assign Nick Names

    I would like to be able to assign nick names for team members. Example, i have several people with the same name on my team so it would be nice if i could change one to 'Boss man' and one to 'Java Guru' and so on.

    Following the example of Slack, it would be great to be able to personalize your status, using emoticons, text, automatic clearing,...

  19. A "Headphones On" status

    It has become common-place that developers are wearing headphones while working. Often they are still available for questions, as the "available" status suggests, but will not hear when collegues call out.
    My suggestion is that there should be either
    - an added headphone icon to the "available" status
    - an individual status similar to "available"
    Initially it could be something the user add themselves, but could long term be a solution where Microsoft Teams consider whether your headset is currently active

  20. Options in the Teams Chat we can edit.

    Under Teams Chat I have a bunch of Contacts groups, but they are listed in alphabetical order I would like to be able to rearrange them.

    Also all groups open in expanded vs collapsed view is there a way to default this to collapsed view?

    Similar to the way you can in Skype.
