  1. Add the status for "Off work."

    The "off work" status was available in Skype for Business. This helps a leader identify which team members are temporarily out of office - "Away" status vs. which are gone for the day "Off work."

  3. Profile view of Teams users

    There are profiles viewed Offline and Date. Please unify them one way so that it is more recognizable.

  4. Move cursor to text box upon clicking "Create a new contact group" or "Add a contact to this group"

    When I try to Create a new contact group, or add a contact to a contact group, i generally expect to click that option, then immediately type in the name. Instead, I then need to click inside the text box before typing. This is a bit annoying since I'm trying to add a bunch of contacts to various groups. I'm working in the Windows 10 application

  5. Teams, like Skype used to, should have the ability to customize your away and offline periods

    If I have clients who are on my Teams list, I may not want to have them ever see me as "Offline" just because I have not touched my mouse. I should be able to be always online, if I want to, having teams justify and determine when I am 'available' or not is not an appropriate feature.

  8. Isolate the presence status from other services to show certain status

    I would like to always show certain status (Available or Busy) as my presence regardless of the presence info from other services such as calendar.

    External contacts cannot see my status. I would like to have this option to show per contact.

  13. Link contact groups from Outlook to Teams

    Ensure that contact groups that have been created in Outlook are visible / can be used in Teams. Now I have to re-create certain groups in teams and instead would just like to copy from Outlook

  14. Add Option to Display Status in Contacts List

    In the settings, add an option which causes Status text to display adjacent to or beneath (maybe both) the name and picture of a Contact in your Favorites.

  16. Statuses - highlight the difference between "Appear away" and "Be right back"

    As I understand it, "Appear away" should be used when you want people to just think you're not at your computer and "Be right back" is a more definitive 'I've nipped out, you won't get a reply for a while'. In Outlook, the contact card shows if you've selected "Be right back" with those words. However, in Teams you just see the icon which is the same as "Away" / "Appear away" so colleagues don't know which it is. Please could you make this clear like on the Outlook contact card.

  17. Teams should have a report to show the user activity such the periods he was active, inactive, away etc.

    With the above report companies will be able to track the users activity on his desktop, see the periods the employee is active / inactive on his desktop

  18. Ability to add groups within groups under contacts.

    Many times we have different departments within our company that could be saved as a group under contacts. However my contacts in one group could have vastly different work. Person X in Group1 could be much better to ask about Product Z than person Y might be.

    If I could add a group within another group me and my colleagues could avoid fracturing our contact list so massively and make it way more effective. The main group could be named "Department 1" and the subgroup within the main group could be "Product Z"

  19. disable automatic status

    Add option to disable automatic status. I do not want other people to know what I am doing. I would like to see an option that complete disables the automatic status update.

  20. problem with teams status

    hello there, i have a question in regards to MS teams, why is my status always in red / busy? even though there are no meetings going on in my calendar, Is there an option to edit settings so that i am in control of the status?

    i would like a feature for being in control, like skype for business had.

    for example


    • sync my status with outlook CHECK OR NOT

    • set away status after XX minutes CHECK OR NOT

    shouldn't be that hard no?
