There is a lag in the status symbol (green for present, red for occupied etc) compared to Skype. Also, I miss the search for contacts under Chat.4 votes
Request you to please provide an option of taking a snippet like snipping tool. This will help us a lot to make our conversations faster3 votes

When multiple users open excel via teams, while working and another user filter then the excel version I am working on also filters.
In Google Sheets all users work on there own sheet but see other user initials but nothing happens when other users filter the sheet.42 votes
In the settings, add an option which causes Status text to display adjacent to or beneath (maybe both) the name and picture of a Contact in your Favorites.7 votes
Currently, Skype for Business client is required to display the user's presence information in Outlook.
I would like to be able to display presence in Outlook with only Teams without using Skype for Business client.41 votes
We have noticed that our Teams statuses are consistently incorrect. Even when some team members are active in Teams they are shown as "away" or "offline". For example, although I can see that my status is "active", my colleagues see my status as "offline".
Can you please fix this bug?980 votes
Hi — My apologies for the delay in updating this item. We rolled out a fix a year ago for a specific issue of status changing to away in Teams when you were still active on the device. We thought this had fixed the “incorrect status” issue. From comments below, it sounds like people are still seeing issues.
If you are still having issues, it would be super helpful if you can capture logs by typing Ctrl + Shift + Alt + 1, and send the file from your downloads folder along with device info and detailed repro steps to email@example.com.
Associate your dial in presence tile with your app presence tile, so your webcam is brought forward when you talk
The problem is this, in short: Our conference room audio system is a permanently installed speaker and microphone array spanning 2 rooms and is separate from my computer and requires us to DIAL IN to Teams meetings bridge to join a meeting. When I dial in to start a meeting from a wired telephone, and put in MY PIN, I need it to tie that presence to MY account reliably instead of showing 2 different meeting attendees in the meeting attendee list; one for my actual account, and one for the number I dialed in from. The reason it cannot work as it does now is that when I speak it activates the dial-in presence Tile with no webcam, but I need it to activate my tile so that it'll auto-switch to my webcam for all other participants.
If I use (a competitor) and dial in to start a meeting with the PIN, then join from my PC, it treats all of it as a single participant, not 2 different participants, and I need that same behavior in Teams so that it manages/shows my webcam correctly when it senses that I'm speaking.
Steps to reproduce:
I dial into a previously un-started meeting from an old-school standard wired telephone using dial-in info and MY PIN to initiate the meeting specifically AS ME.
I then connect from my Windows Desktop Teams App using MY OWN ACCOUNT, which also is ME.
Now that I'm in the meeting, I have TWO different attendee tiles that represent ME, my normal tile with picture and name, and another tile showing the phone number I dialed in from.
Tile1 is just the phone number that I dialed in from. It usually shows the phone number as the tile image
Tile2 is my regular tile showing my name and picture, actually representing me. It never "lights" up as the active speaker because I've DIALED IN to the meeting and that voice connection is not associated with me, it's a completely different entity in the meeting. Since that other phone number tile lights up when I talk instead of my real tile, Teams never auto-switches other peoples video view to show my active webcam feed because it never thinks I'm the one talking, instead the phone number tile lights up and my webcam feed is never brought into the active conversation.

In large groups, users often need to quickly identify who is an owner. Presently, a user must go into the settings then "manage teams." I propose the use of "badges" or "icons" adjacent or partially covering their picture. This would provide a quick visual indicator of who is an owner. This idea could be further adapted to provide indicators of key contributers, subject matter experts, etc. The list of custimizable badges could be limitless.5 votes
Similar to Skype for Business, include time with the status. For instance, "Away 10 minutes".1 vote
For the "Contacts" in the "Chat" tab. Have ability like S4B to add Distribution groups. Also have ability to start a group chat from these groups, same as S4B. You don't always need a "Team" room for a quick group chat.
Also need ability to move and sort these groups manually. Currently no way to sort manually, it does it automatic alphabetically.
Every time you leave the "Contacts" in "Chat" and return all the groups are expanded. These should not auto expand, they should stay minimized until the user expands them manually when needed.8 votes

hello there, i have a question in regards to MS teams, why is my status always in red / busy? even though there are no meetings going on in my calendar, Is there an option to edit settings so that i am in control of the status?
i would like a feature for being in control, like skype for business had.
- sync my status with outlook CHECK OR NOT
- set away status after XX minutes CHECK OR NOT
shouldn't be that hard no?
Ensure that contact groups that have been created in Outlook are visible / can be used in Teams. Now I have to re-create certain groups in teams and instead would just like to copy from Outlook6 votes
Among the Status options in Teams, it would be good to have “Appear Offline” , in situations when I do not wish to be contacted (just like it was before in skype for business) !5 votes
El reloj de fichar solicita una ubicación esperada, para poder disponer de la grabación de la ubicación del empleado al fichar .
Sería genial que tan sólo registrara la ubicación (sea cua sea) en el momento de fichar al empezar o acabar su turno.

Add option to disable automatic status. I do not want other people to know what I am doing. I would like to see an option that complete disables the automatic status update.106 votes
