  1. Who bot not working

Whenever I try to use the Who bot I get a generic error message as follows:

There seems to be a problem. Please ask me something else while I get to the bottom of this. (Error reference: ###)

You can ask me questions like the following:
    Who is Jane?
    Who are Jack's peers?
    Who is Roger's manager?
    Who does Emma work with?
    Who reports to Julie?
    Who knows about marketing?
Who did I meet with about product design?
Who has information about Microsoft Teams?
Who emailed me about launch in the past 2 weeks?
Who's the Bill that emailed me…

  2. Remove Bot Mention Requirement

It seems as though currently all bots only work if you @mention them, so my assumption is that this is a requirement of the api used to develop the bots.

Many people from my organization are used to IRC/Slack style bots where an explicit @mention isn't required for bots to parse a message and respond.

Sometimes there is fun functionality that can be added for a lot of bots and having to @mention a bot really detracts from the user experience of some bots.

I can also see this getting out of hand when using a lot of bots, so…

This item is still on the backlog. I’ve received no further updates yet about this topic. I will continue to bring your feedback to the feature team.

  3. Allow bots to have more control over messages they see

I'de like to create a super simple karma bot (none exist, that aren't paid) but the way the API works at the moment is that in order for a bot to even see/process a message, you are REQUIRED to mention the bot in the message. This is very annoying as most people are used to the "give karma" syntax being along the lines of: "@user++ [reason]" so, with the way the teams api works, they now have to cahnge it to "@<yourkarmabotname> @user ++ [reason]" this just feels unnatural.

We were previously using HipChat with a very simple karma bot…

  4. Keep T-Bot's 'What's new' up to date

T-Bot's 'What's New' feature is useful as we're determining whether to use Teams or not. But it's out of date already - I know there have been releases but the last entry is still July 31 2018.

  5. Daily standup like howdy.ai for Slack

I'd like to see a bot that asks team members questions at a scheduled time each day and posts the answers to a channel. This could work like howdy.ai for Slack.

  6. bots and connectors per team

I would like admin controls over which Bots and Connectors are available to the entire organisation and which are only available to certain MS-Teams. At the moment if one is switched on it is available for all MS-Teams to be added. Ideally, this would be controlled by Group membership per Bot/Connector.

  7. Allow on premise bots

By allowing bots which are hosted "on premise" (behind a company firewall), one allow to access systems from that company.
This is the situation for many companies where the infrastructure or services which need to be reachable by bots is not on the public internet.

    Some scenarios:
    - A bot is running behind a company firewall
    - The bot connects to MS teams, joins a channel, and "listens" to conversations (outbound connection to the internet)

    This enables interactions like:
    - @bot, list defects (from an in-house issue tracker)
    - @bot, add capacity to applicationx (after an authorization phase, on-prem application…

  8. Ability to set a scheduled notification (alarm) to go off in a channel or chat via T-Bot

It could be nice to have T-Bot remind a channel or chat at a certain time about something. Been a couple situations where I am in a chat with multiple people and we schedule an informal meeting and forget about it. T-Bot could do reminders for things in channels.

  11. Add Cortana

Imagine this chat conversation between two users:

Patrick : Sales is doing great now...
James : Yes but I wonder where we are growing?
Patrick: @Cortana Show me revenue by country in October 2016
Cortana: [Shows a graph with top selling countries with a link to the Power BI report]
James: @Cortana What product sells best in Sweden?
Cortana: [Answers with text] "Superduper Sport Shoe" has most revenue in Sweden for October 2016.

Now imagine adding in a bot that can answer questions about inventory or even a procurement bot...

This feature request is still being worked upon.

I am still trying to get details on what we could expect for Cortana in Teams and will share examples once something is available.

  14. 'Who'-Bot: Marking messages as 'helpful' for more qualified "Who knows about..." answers.

The 'Who'-Bot brings a feature to search colleagues with specific knowledges.
'Who' therefore answers a "Who knows about..."-question with a list of Team users.
This knowledge of one user seems to be based on the users posts with the keyword given in the "Who knows about..."-query.
Therefore it would be great to be able to mark posts/chat message as 'helpful' or mark a message as 'verified answer'. Then only users who wrote helpful messages to a topic are listed in a result of a "Who knows about..." question.
Alternatively you could emphasize these users in the result set.

  15. Mark 'Bots' which require paid services or additional licencing

Bot's are great additions for new functionality, but when we added a number of bot's we then received 1:1 messages from the bots advising we needed to purchase the services or licences to utilise them.

We then removed these bots, but this requirement is not clear when our users add bots to the Channels. It also at times posts the licence requirements into the Channel itself, which causes more confusion.

We would like to have an icon stating 'Paid' (or something similar) next to Bots in the add-in menu which require licences or payment for the functionality. This will prevent…

  17. cross platform bots integration feasibility

Can we register cross-platform BOTs (Ex. Developed in Python) with Microsoft Teams? We are looking for a feasibility to add our in-house BOT to Teams so that there will be a one-stop for communicating with friends or with BOTS.

  18. Make Polls / Surveys / @Polly - Native / Integrated in the product

Surveys were added to the product through 3rd part integration using Bot @Polly. However, as mentioned by some of the users, companies block bots due to their policies and on top of that, the bot asks to access some user information and no one mentioned if it is covered by the same privacy, security, compliance standards that we expect with our subscription to office 365?

It would be much better to have it as a native feature

  19. Give OneNote Slash Commands for Maximum Onenote-Teams Integration

I've seen multiple requests here for integration with OneNote, and I think the best solution would be a combination of logical integrations with OneNote and slash commands or even a bot. In terms of slash commands, these come to mind:

    - /one textsearchhere: Let users search OneNote from directly within Teams and see a preview of/results from within the team's primary OneNote; users can then insert that directly into a conversation for easy knowledge base referencing.

    - /onenew Title of Note Here: Let users start a note from directly within Teams with a simple slash command that, when activated by…

  20. Add speech to text option to chat interface

We use a chat bot via Teams only because the bot can authenticate the user against the id returned via the Teams API. We would like to add a speech based interface which is proving very difficult given the need to authenticate against AD. But if the Teams chat interface had the microphone button as per the Bot Web Chat interface this would be out-of-the-box functionality.
