  1. Reply to a specific message higher up in a thread

Our team is using threaded discussions properly, but sometimes I want to respond to a specific message higher up in the thread -- not at the bottom of the thread.

This would also suggest the need for deeper hierarchy of threads. Each reply should be offset within a thread (and there should be replies to replies to replies, etc.) and you should be able to collapse these hierarchies for ease of reading and viewing.

  2. Invert flow of conversations in channels

Have (an option for) new conversations to appear at the top of the channel. Also move "start new conversation" input box to the top.
The way it is right now people constantly confuse creating new conversation with replying to an existing one. Probably because everyone is used to how various social media content flows, and Teams does it the opposite way.

  3. Have an option to pin a message to the top of a Team Channel that everyone could see. .

We use Lync Group Chat 2010 and looking for a tool, like Teams to replace it. We need the ability to have a static message or read only channel that many people need to see, but only a few will actually update it. If we were able to pin a message, then it wouldn't matter how many additional messages were posted as long as the topic or pinned message remained as always visible. It would be nice to give other users that you specify the ability to edit the pinned message as well. Use case: Channel that lists current IT…

  4. Restrict or notify the team owner when adding a non-teams enabled user

When a team owner try to add a member to the team. He can add any users from corp address book, regardless user is enabled for teams or not
Request: The owner who try to add any member who are not ready for TEAM (within the organization address book) be not available for selection or given an alert.

  5. Teams Live Meetings - entrance and exit announcements

While holding a live meeting in Teams, when someone dials in to the meeting or leaves the meeting, their entrance and exit is announced to the group. This disrupts the flow of the meeting when someone is talking/presenting. Please allow the meeting facilitator to turn off notifications of members entering and exiting the meeting. In addition, the option of universal mute would be great, as unmuted participants can often result in echo feedback which disrupts the meeting.

  6. Actionable/Non-Actionable On A Per App (Office 365 Connectors) Basis

Recently, MS has provided the ability to choose which third-party apps (Office 365 Connectors) that you would want to use for your tenant.

Some of these connectors are still useful being non-actionable, while other connectors you still may want to be actionable.

It would be great to be able to set this per app and not just on the tenant.

Ideal: Choose which app you'd like and if they are actionable/non-actionable.

  7. Deleting conversations in Channels by Owner

    Hi,

if we have to delete any conversations happened in the Teams, Group owner should have that access, unfortunately only member (not an owner) is able to delete the conversation or message that they sent.

Can you look in to this ?

  9. General channel, Conversations welcome to the team!

I'd like the "Welcome to the Team!" and images removed from the General channel Conversations. Once the Team is established, what's the purpose?

  10. Organize Channels in a tree form

With hundreds of projects defined as single channels it would be very helpful to organize channels in tree form like in Explorer

  12. Allow drag and drop to channel chat, and not only the field at the bottom

Allow one to drag and drop files to chat conversation or group conversation, and not only the field at the bottom. Many employes don't know this, and ask how to drag files to conversation.

  13. Merge conversations within teams app and conversations of O365 groups within Outlook

    Hi team,

title speaks for itself I think.

For users it is totally annoying and not to understand, why we have two different "conversations" within O365 group functionality.

Kind regards and carry on (Teams is awesome!)
    Daniel

P.S.: Please add category "User Experience" to Uservoice new post option.

  15. Start new chat, not reuse old

I had an old chat with 2 people a month ago, and named it the topic we were discussing. I want to have a new chat with those same two people, about a new topic. I do not want it to reuse the old chat with the unrelated title. (that one's done, it would be nice to hide that one so it doesn't clutter up my Teams view anymore).

  16. Virtual group for tagging multiple members inside a group

Make a virtual user grouping that can be managed by conversation group admin.

For example, all the release teams in the company are on a single Teams conversation group. If a person wants to address all the scrum masters in their message, there is no way to do it currently except to @tag each one of them.

My suggestion is to have a virtual grouping like @ScrumMasters. The group name and the members of that group should be manageable by the admin for the whole group.

  17. Email Conversations

Email Conversations. We have a team of developers working in Jira. It would be good to be able to email a conversation direct to the Jira email address.

  18. Alphabetical sort option for Teams

Please consider including an option for viewing the teams in alphabetical order. Ideally, there should be a "Default" view which sorts all the teams in ascending order (A-Z) and an option to sort the teams based on most recent activity. Of course, this feature should also be pushed to the mobile app as well.

  19. Print all conversations in a channel

We need a way to save or print or archive channels to access later but move it out of the working field of view. Moving it to "More" isn't acceptable because the team is still relevant.

  20. When clicking on channel focus the cursor on the Start new conversation.

When clicking on a channel such as "General", auto focus the cursor on the text box for "Start a new conversation, use @ to mention someone". Having to do two clicks is horribly inefficient. Would be idea to be able to use the system quickly without having to use the mouse all together.
