Make public channel private
It would be nice to convert some of our already established channels to private now the feature is available in the same way it may be desired to de-classify a private channel to public at some point too.
Currently a channel privacy can only be set during creation.

Transfer the rights that the organizer has to a participant.
As the organizer of a meeting, you are the only one who can create the breakout rooms. Also, only the organizer can set the meeting options and download the attendance list. The organizer is not always present at the meeting. The possibility to make a participant co-organizer is missing. Could this option be added so that the co-organizer also create the breakout rooms? If also can set the meeting options and download the attendance list.

Support to host a meeting in a Private Channel
Hi there, I've setup a private channel in a Team for supervisors only. I'd like to "host" the regular staff meeting in the private channel, but i can only select "public" channels. Can Microsoft add the ability to host Team meetings within a private channel?

Your team has reached the maximum number of private channels
Today we attempted to create a new private channel and received the following error "Your team has reached the maximum number of private channels".
OMG everyone at my company is going to KILL ME. I moved our entire organization off Slack to Teams and to streamline communication we went with a company Team and then inside that Team we create private channels for targetted audience communication. This was done to avoid having to create multiple teams then add everyone who would ever have to communicate with any of the channels inside the team.
In slack they had no limitation on…

Create Planner tabs within Private Channels
We have just started using Private Channels, which is great as our team has sub teams within it and this way we can have private discussions, without creating multiple teams.
What we'd also like to do is create Planner Plans within the Private Channels that are only accessible to those within the Private Channel. Is this on the roadmap?

Enable video pop-out for non-presenters
As a non-presenting participant in a Teams meeting I want to be able to see both shared content and the video feed of other members simultaneously. I need to be able to view and control (e.g. move and resize) both the shared content and video feeds separate from each other.
Currently as a participant in a Teams meeting I cannot pop-out the video feeds as a separate window viewable at the same time as the shared content window. Only the presenter can get the participant video feeds in a separate pop-out window from the shared content.
As a non-presenting participant…

Reject Submissions in Teams
As an educator, it can be frustrating to receive a submission from a pupil that is blank. However, there is currently no option to 'Reject Student Submission' or 'Undo Student Submission'. This means that what is shown in insights does not reflect what is actually happening. We are only able to return the submission, but this is just to provide feedback - it does not unsubmit their assignment.
This change would allow teachers to track the work of pupils and also make full use of insights.

intro the ability to put participant thumbnail views during a Teams meeting to the top of the screen when someone is sharing
Introduce option to put participant thumbnail views during a Teams meeting to the top of the screen when someone is sharing their screen.
Zoom does this and visually it looks like we're talking to each other as opposed to the bottom of our screens. That slight tilt of the neck is ever-so more ergonomic too.249 votes -
Allow organizer to close participant video in Teams meeting
When having multiple persons participating Teams meeting often it is nice to join with video on. Sometimes others may suffer a poor-quality connection or have their webcam pointed in other direction than it supposed. Is there a roadmap to allow the meeting organizer to switch off the participants video like you can mute other persons?

Tagging in private channels
Tags are finally out!
But it works only for public channels in a Team. It would be great to have the same functionality for private channels.
Use case:
We are providing a DMS support for our organizational units in MS Teams.
Each organizational unit has its own private channel where the support team and the organizational unit users are finding place. Private channels are used to avoid data leak. For the users it's difficult to mentrion all the people from the support team using @.So it would be greate to have the same functionallity for tags as public channels…

Teams for Xbox (for office use)
We use Teams everywhere - PCs, mobile, Yealink phones, etc. We have an Xbox in our meeting room - since the Xbox is a powerhouse and can accomodate a big screen monitor, HD web cam, speakers, mics, etc., how about Teams on the Xbox? It would save us from spending another $5K on a Teams meeting room device... and how cool would it be?

Copy conversation link in a private channel
I'd like to be able to copy a conversation link in a private channel, like you can for a public channel. This presently doesn't exist. I would imagine the link would appear as a dead link (not authorized), to anyone not in the private channel.

Pre-invite Meeting Attendees to Breakout Rooms
Some meetings we carry out require breakout rooms for different training needs, it would be good to pre-allocate people into these rooms, rather than waiting for everyone to attend the meeting, and then setting up the rooms.

Spotlight Recording
When recording a Teams meeting and using the spotlight feature will the recording of the meeting still show all attendees or focus the recording on the spotlighted video feed? For training and review purposes I would like the spotlighted feed to be the focus of the recording.
