  1. support for sameroom.io ambient mode

We use Sameroom.io very heavily to allow our team to maintain all interactions with our customers through MSFT Teams. As we cannot force our customers to use MSFT Teams, we have found this to be a very elegant solutions to keep everyone in their native collaboration tools that their companies have adopted. Sameroom.io tells me that they are waiting for MSFT to implement a feature known as "ambient mode" for them to be able to add this support on their end. They also mention that this has already been done for Skype and Telegram via your Bot framework. Can you…

  2. Allow users with on-prem mailboxes to configure Connectors

We are piloting teams as a persistent chat solution, however due to some constraints, we cannot have mailboxes hosted in the cloud, and our users currently have their mailbox on premise. We are unable to configure Connectors with this current configuration. Please allow on-prem mailboxes to configure Connectors.

  3. outlook email link spam

When sending an email thread to a channel email address (obtained by clicking "..." by the channel name), only the top email on the thread should be posted to MS Team channel, since it already contains the link to the email thread back in Outlook.

By currently expanding all emails on that email thread on the posting add too much clutter to MS Teams.

  4. Make the difference between Teams, Groups, SharePoint more clear

I, and my users, are having a hard time to explain or understand the differences between teams, groups, sharepoints etc.
It would make adaptation in my organisation a lot easier if and when there would be one solution, or a more clear difference between these solutions

  5. Ability to enable O365 Outlook Groups but keep O365 Yammer Groups disabled

Since Yammer based O365 groups cannot be used with Microsoft Teams (per https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Frequently-asked-questions-about-Microsoft-Teams-–-Admin-Help-05cbe533-2181-4e95-a4b0-52cd7695fafc, section "Can I add Microsoft Teams to an existing Yammer group?") there should be the ability to keep Outlook Groups turned on while keeping Yammer Groups turned off.

I am requesting this due to having a client with around 100,000 users that is migrating to Office 365. Currently Groups and Teams are disabled. There is a significant concern that once we turn on Groups and Teams, there will be users creating groups in both Outlook and Yammer, then become confused why Teams works for some Groups,…

  6. notific

An @ mention should give a notification of some kind in outlook. This would help Outlook-a-holics in our organization and make sure nothing gets missed. This could be a Conversation History tab function maybe?

  7. Insert Files into OneNote Tabs

It would be great to be able to drag and drop files, or even copy and paste files, into the team OneNote extension. The integration now is pretty limiting.

  9. Use the MacOS notification system instead of the built-in

The built-in notification system is very unreliable. Have them sent to the MacOS notification system so we can keep track of them in the notification center and such.

  10. Stop making me click "New Messages" every time someone speaks.

Please get rid of the "New Messages" popup. This is especially annoying in private chats when I don't even leave the window. I want to blow my brains out when I have to click the button every time someone says something. By doing this you're saying that the message way at the top of the thread is more important than the new one that just came in. This is a usability nightmare.

  11. Why no AppX for Win10???

Using Win 10 it would be much more better to offer an AppX instead Setup/x64.

  12. Integrate with Microsoft AutoUpdate on Mac

It would make managing the app easier for those of us who use a MAU caching/manifest server.

  14. Application "hides" the Ctrl+Shift+F12 keyboard shortcut (View.NextError in Visual Studio)

When the Microsoft Teams application is running, the Ctrl+Shift+F12 keyboard shortcut in Visual Studio (View.NextError) does not work.

When I close Teams, the shortcut starts working in VS.

  15. Allow team conversations to be visible in Outlook client

As an information worker, I live inside the Outlook client, as external clients as well as internal teams communicate via email. Would be nice to have the Teams data be visible through the Outlook client similar to what we have for Skype conversations, and O365 groups.

Within outlook you can view your Teams under Groups, for each Team you can subscribe or leave the conversation.

  16. Able to See When a Team Member is Typing

In Spark, it was super-useful, especially in a work environment, to be able to see which team member was currently typing a message, so the entire Team wasn't typing/submitting messages all over each other. This is very useful especially when questions were asked - instead of 5 people responding at the same time, we could see who started typing and let them submit before adding to the conversation.

You can see this right above your text field when someone is typing. It will say “[Person’s name] is typing…”

  17. When teams logs out it should give a different message

When you get logged out in the mac client it says:

"You signed out of your account
It's a good idea to close all browser windows."

    1. I did not sign out it autosigned out on it's own. The wording implies some action I did signed me out rather than an auto timeout.

    2. I am using the mac client not a browser. Perhaps behind the scenes it is just a browser, but this terminology is confusing.

    3. It saying "it is a good idea to close all browser windows" implies both that I need to close browser windows (not true with the…

  18. Allow existing plans to be added as a tab

I have an existing Office 365/Outlook Group with a "Plan" (from the Office 365 Planner app) attached.

I could successfully create a Microsoft Team based on the existing Office 365 group. However, there is no option to add the existing plan as a tab, only an option to create a new plan.
