  1. copy and paste from Word to Teams works (but slow), but not Teams to Word?

I can copy and paste a word document with text and a graphics to Teams, and that works fine. But I cannot copy and paste the same conversation from Teams back to Word? Teams' user interface needs serious work for consistency among Microsoft's own products. This is SO frustrating.

  3. Support 3rd party audio conferencing provider (ACP) integration with MS Teams Statement "...MS Teams does not support 3rd-party Audio Confe

Support 3rd party audio conferencing provider (ACP) integration with MS Teams

Statement "...MS Teams does not support 3rd-party Audio Conferencing Providers (ACPs)."

    Here is my position:

I am upset with the tactic which forces us to use Microsoft Audio Conferencing for Teams PSTN dial in capabilities . With Skype for Business, I could integrate a 3rd party audio conference provider. All my existing conferencing numbers would work. The Global Network Architecture created for us could remain in place. No workflow changes to end/users.

In Teams, I will be forced to use the MS Audio Conferencing service if I want that…

  4. scriptable status

I would like to have status be scriptable from outside of Teams. Bare minimum would be command line, better yet, would be to support IFTTT.

One use case is to always default to appear away when logging in over the weekend.

  5. Make document handling between Teams and Outlook easier

Allow to drag documents from the files tab in Teams directly as attachment into an email in outlook (and vice versa).
While Teams already reduced the number of internal emails a a lot, externally, we work in an environment where emails with attachments are the normal way of communication. Right now, attaching documents from Teams (sharepoint) to emails is so burdensome that it reduces the acceptance and uptake of Teams in our team.

  7. third-party chat clients (e.g. pidgin)

Other chat programs (Slack, Cisco Webex, Google Hangouts) allow third-party clients, typically over XMPP. Can we have an XMPP port on the Teams server?

  8. Federation with the Matrix Protocol

I know there are already a lot of requests for federation. This is a different type of request though, as it is more specific:

Similar to how true email federation uses open source federated protocols like IMAP, SMTP, POP3, true federated banquet style chat applications should also use open source federated protocols to allow other clients & hosts.

The Matrix protocol (which is managed by a non-profit organization) is the most popular way to do this. I would love if Microsoft Teams added support for this to allow it to truly replace email, and communicate with customers, vendors, etc. that…

  9. Web Client - Internet Explorer should prompt for redirect to supported browser

Currently when someone is invited to a Teams meeting, but they do not have the full Teams client installed, and they're default browser on Windows 7 is Internet Explorer (or some other unsupported default browser) the page should detect the User Agent string and present two possible options. 1) Advise the user to open the meeting URL in a supported browser (and list them right there) or 2) Give them the option to download the Full Windows Client but note that this is for Enterprise Users and requires a license.

Current behavior simply advises the user to download the full…

Latest Android update includes work and personal profiles. Teams doesn't integrate.

  12. Add support for sharing with Microsoft To-Do

Having all MS applications; Office 365, I expect them to share data easily between them.

Today if I use the Microsoft To-Do application and choose Share, Microsoft Teams is not a support application. Granted I can copy & paste, but integration between the two apps is expected.

  14. Just play nice with other MS products

For me is amazing how a product developed by Microsoft itself doesn't play nice with basic other product like Office. Shared images can't be copied and paste in PPT. This is just sad.
Also, it is very sad that every time Teams lost focus and I active the window again, I have to click in the text area to type again in the chat I just left. How you develop this? How your QA team doesn't detect such a basic misbehavior?

  15. Import / Export for data migration between tenants

At my IT company we are frequently working on Office 365 migration projects. We're also working on some merger / carve-out projects so we frquently need to move data out of tenant no 1 and re-import that data to tenant no #2.
Currently this cannot be done by the existing graph api, as there is no support to access several data like chat conversation etc.
Unfortunately, a support request answered that it's also not possible to get that from the support right now.

I'd like to request some export-team and import-team functionality
    • Export should be possible to an Azure…

  17. Exportable reporting data

Ability to export report data for external reporting and warehousing.
I.e. extract data from and WebAPI that allow custom reporting by exposing data on a granular level?

E.g. session details, conference, voice quality, screen sharing etc. much like what exist for Skype for Business today (on site).

  19. Share files / message those not in your organization

    Either:
    1. Let users share files and message with Skype for business users who are not in their organization.
    or...
2 Let users migrate back to Skype for Business.

Teams is useless for me without 1. And it does not seem possible to delete and migrate back. Several of our company's processes are not working as we collaborate regularly with people who are not in our organization. We are currently looking for a replacement, since Teams has lost functionality that Skype for Business had.
