Slack has dev api to list teams/channels and perform bunch of management operations. It would be great if there's something similar available in Microsoft Teams as well.205 votes
Hi again. I received some irate messages about this :-( so wanted to address everyone’s questions around the “Create a Team” API.
We know how vital this is for everyone and everyone on the engineering floor knows it too. That’s why we’ve been working on it—BUT it’s not an easy answer. There are some internal dependences that we’re trying to overcome. When it’s closer to completely done, I’ll be sure to update you.
Thank you again for your support of Teams. I really value your feedback, enthusiasm, and patience. THANK YOU!
I might have a team called IT and channels of IT projects. So assigning members to channels would be great, since it's not the same for each project (channels).126 votes
Hi everyone, can you provide more information on this request? I want to understand if this is the same ask as the ask for public/private teams, or if this is the common issue we get with people unaware they can invite people into a team using a distribution list email address. If you can respond to the thread here or tweet to me at @skprufo, that’d help a lot!
If someone write from Skype, I can read and answer, but I cant start a chat with Skype users.105 votes
It looks like some people in the thread below have figured it out — we actually have this. You can start a chat both ways; the system will automatically recognize if this person is on Skype for Business or on Teams.
Thanks and let me know if you have any questions.
- "text" value isn't shown...
On Windows 10, Android, Mac and iPhone:
- "title" isn't format properly
- "themeColor" isn't rendered
- "potentialAction" aren't render like a button
- "section" seems to work
It could be very nice if the Webhooks is fully working and give the same result on every plateform.55 votes

There is a connector for GitHub but not GitLab.
It would be nice to have this available as other git repositories are available.....49 votes
We have automated messages posted to a channel and the @notifications are considered normal text and no actual notification happen. Since no one is notified of messages in channels to begin with (waiting for https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public-preview/suggestions/16911520-notifications-for-all-messages-in-a-channel to be implemented), we'd at least need notifications to work.39 votes
Webhooks should have a property to force notification a la "@channel", "@team", "@person". I have been using Slack webhooks for notifications out of our monitoring platform and can use "@" tags to make sure that the correct channels get the data and if the condition is severe, notify "@channel".31 votes
I would like support for hubot: https://hubot.github.com
This could make the switch from Slack or FLowdock a lot easier.28 votes
We've just finished building a webhook connector that will be giving us work item updates from our on-prem TFS. This is very exciting, however, every update comes in as a new thread. This is less exciting. We need the ability for, once a work item exists in a thread in the chat, for all work item updates pertaining to that work item to be threaded under that initial message. Otherwise, chaos. Perhaps the ability to arbitrarily define and ID for each webhook message, and when the same ID is re-used, it becones threaded?27 votes
Currently it is quite easy to start a conversation via the webhook of a channel.
It would be great if the POST of this webhook would return an conversation id. This id could then be used in a subsequent request to reply to the initial conversation.24 votes
I really like Microsoft Teams, but i think it could be better working with people from any company using this app.23 votes
Our app developers want to be able to type code directly and retain formatting. This is supported in Slack/Hip Chat.

When I post a URL as a user, Teams automatically expands the message to include a URL preview. When a webhook posts the same thing, the URL remains plain text.
The webhook should be able to opt in to the same "unfurling" treatment that the user's message received.

It's possible to save email form outlook to microsoft team as work to do or email to read or to assign a work to another person ecc ecc18 votes
Yes, you can attach the email into your message using the attachment icon in your compose box. Then you can write a message and “@” tag your colleague with the to-do item. If you need to save the item for yourself as an action, you can use the bookmark icon in the message (once its posted) and it will save to your “Saved” — of which you can access by clicking your profile photo and choosing “Saved” in the flyout. Then you’ll see all your Saved items.
When writing a new comment, I am able to use ENTER to skip to the next line. However, when I edit the same comment, I cannot use ENTER to skip to the next line. Please fix.18 votes
Remember two step verification like other services. Having to re-verify everytime I log back into the Teams app is horrible.

Sorry you’ve had a hard time with the log in process, check with your IT Department as they may have control over this.
I can't get the themeColor element to work from a web hook.
On https://dev.outlook.com/Connectors/GetStarted it shows examples like: "themeColor": "EA4300" but on https://dev.outlook.com/Connectors/reference it says to specify colors with a # prefix. None of those seem to work. No accent color is shown in either the Windows desktop program or the Android app.11 votes
