Notifications for all messages in a channel
There is no clear way how to enable all notifications in channels. I have channel where I am interested in all messages.
I hope this brightens your Friday — your feature request is here! Our hardworking engineers have been working on this for weeks and we’re happy to report it released yesterday.
To set notifications for all messages in a channel, just click the little ellipses next to the channel name and choose “Follow this channel.”
If this made your Friday, please tweet to us! You can send the tweet to me (@skprufo) or just include the #MicrosoftTeams hashtag, and I’ll make sure it gets to our dev team.
THANK YOU for making Teams better and better with your awesome feedback. You guys are the best.

Hi, I would like to know if there is a GA release date for this feature ?

I agree, how are any team members supposed to know when a document or file has been added or changed without any notifications? Right now, the product could be so much more useful if it automatically updated team members with changes to items.
It seems the only way is if you create a chat conversation and add everyone individually to it.

Without notifications my organization will not adopt using Teams. Please give an approximate date this will be complete.

Any update on this? I'm getting beat up pretty hard by my team over it. It's becoming difficult to get adoption.
Any ETA on this?
We won't use Teams until this feature is working. @ mentioning every time is nightmare.

Yes, the current notification system is just horrible. A lot of team members don't know a chat is going on unless they happen to look at the Teams app. Make it like Slack in where users get notified via their mobile phone, or through the notification center on Mac OS X.
In fact, if you notice a pattern in all these requests, nearly all of them mention something along the lines of "make it like Slack" or "make it like HipChat". Maybe for future features and update, just copy Slack. They did it right, and their standards is what we have come to expect.

Without better notifications, this app becomes unusable.
Skype and Slack make life easier to communicate with others. If I have to work hard to keep checking for updates then I will not use Teams and prefer to use Slack or Skype.

Notifications are critical due to the inherent nature of IM/Instant Communications.
+1 on this request as well, ability to be notified of messages without using the @ option.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE add a more effective way to get notified of Teams activity. It seems to me it would be the core of ANY team collaboration product.

Yeah.. So much of 'realtime' team communications. Shud be basic feature. Pls fix it.

Since this was launch, I've been pushing the team to use Teams and move away from Slack and WhatsApp. But we've been not able to really appreciate the because kept missing the posted messages in the groups. Now people are abandoning Teams, back to slack and WA. Pls fix this.
Any approximate timing for this feature would be greatly appreciated - trying to make a Slack decision for my organization. Are you thinking Jan/Feb, Q1, Q2, 2018? Any indication? Surely there's a product manager with a roadmap out there?

I would also like to have the option to have only the bar flash without the banner popup.

Agree with the comments below, we are wanting to move across from Slack to Teams for our 600+ users but can only do so if we can replicate this feature....other than that, i'm actually quite enjoying the user experience...
Hi, do you have any timeline when this feature can be implemented? We can't use the tool without it.
Even if you turn on all notifications, all the time, in all clients, it doesnt work.
I can agree more with this. So far this is our more common complain in our team. We miss notification from integrations also. Even when we turn on all notifications for desktop and mobile we dont get notifications for new messages.
Any idea when this will be available. like a timeline ( Jan 2017 etc. )
